Bangerter Occlusion Foils
Bangerter Occlusion Foils are thin, flexible translucent filters designed to reduce visual acuity in a controlled and predictable manner. Available in multiple densities, these foils can be applied directly to spectacle lenses to provide graded visual blur while maintaining light transmission.

Product Features
• Thin, flexible self-adhering foil
• Provides graded levels of visual blur
• Easily trimmed to fit most spectacle lenses
• Removable and reusable
• Adheres without adhesives, similar to a window cling
• Foil size approximately 2.5" x 2.5"
Application Instructions
Step 1: Identify the shiny side of the foil.
Step 2: Cut the foil with sharp scissors to the desired size.
Step 3: Lightly moisten the shiny side with warm water.
Step 4: Apply the foil to the inside surface of the spectacle lens.
Step 5: Use a soft, dry cloth to remove excess water and smooth out air bubbles.
Step 6: Allow the foil to dry for approximately one hour before use.
Care & Expected Life
Bangerter Foils are removable and reusable; however, repeated removal and reapplication may reduce adhesion as oils and dust accumulate on the surface.
• Typical life expectancy is 1-2 months when left in place.
• Frequent removal and reapplication may shorten the usable life of the foil.
• Adhesion performance may vary depending on lens coatings and environmental conditions.
Additional Uses
Bangerter Foils are also used in instructional and competitive shooting sports to reduce image clarity in a controlled manner while maintaining light transmission.
Important Notice
The adhesion life of Bangerter Foils may be reduced when applied to lenses that utilize advanced nano-coatings or hydrophobic technologies, including but not limited to Crizal® and similar lens treatments.
