The Phy-Dip or Brock string has long been a mainstay in vision therapy and rehabilitation. It is a simple, but effective tool for teaching binocularity and anti-suppression. The CL Lighted Phy-Dip StringTM is an exciting new improvement to the old stand-by. Kenneth J. Ciuffreda, O.D., Ph.D. and Diane Ludlum inspired the concept for the C/L Lighted Phy-Dip String™.

The CL Lighted Phy-Dip™ is not intended to replace the original, but rather be a modern approach or technique. The advantage of the CL Lighted Phy-Dip™ is the self-illuminating strings, which can flash at two different speeds or remain constant. The ability to light the string itself, not only adds interest and enhances the ability to see the string, but also helps break down suppression, making it more difficult to shut-off the non-dominate or amblyopic eye.
