There are currently four 3D videos, in two different formats, available for true 3D vision training. These videos do base-in, base-out and jump duction therapy. There are two formats available (3D BluRay and Red/Blue DVD). The 3D BluRay version requires a 3D TV, and a standard BluRay player. The
Red/Blue version requires a DVD player and standard TV. A computer is not required for either of these videos.
Regardless of the type of hardware or format, all videos start with the right and left images superimposed (one on top of each other), and slowly start to separate either in a crossed or uncrossed direction. The amount of prismatic demand gradually increases as the patient views the video. The amount of prismatic effect varies with the the amount of separation on the screen, the size of the TV/monitor and the distance at which it is viewed. These DVD's play for about 50 minutes with each chapter lasting about 10 minutes.
