SeeRite Flash and Match Software Game

The Flash & Match Game is a variation of the game "Concentration". It teaches instantaneous visual capture (a key skill for sight word reading), visual memory, spatial organization & figure-ground discrimination.

The symbols presented on the flash cards are developmentally graded from colors, pictures, words, to random groups of numbers and letters. The exposure time of the flash card as well as the grid size can be varied. This allows for a developmental pathway to teach sight word recognition.

It is particularly appropriate for the younger child who has just started to read, but is struggling. There is often the question of the relevance of intensive VT in these cases as the normal developmental processes may be just about to kick in & transform the child's performance.

The game may be sold on the basis that performance will be reviewed in six months with the option of more intensive VT at that stage. Although the game was designed for use by children in the early stages of learning, it may be used with an older person to help build memory, attention, & spatial organization.
