    The goal of Sports Vision is to make you the best athlete that you can be in the sport of your choice. All sports start with vision. If you don’t know where you are and what is going on around you, how can you be ready to react? Your eyes can take in more information than your brain can process.

    The Nike Strobe tries to make you more aware of your surroundings and more efficient in your use of your senses. Watch the video above which explains how the strobe works. When you get your strobe, start off slow. Toss a soft ball or bean bag with someone with the strobes off. Get comfortable with the action.

    Start with the Strobe on the second setting. Throw the ball back and forth until it becomes easy then increase the speed setting. Work for 10-15 minutes at first and then take the strobes off and throw the same ball. You should realize the ease at which you can do the task compared to with the Strobe. Now, make the task more difficult such as standing on one foot or using the Strobe with just one eye.

    Next, do the drills on the vides on this page which seem useful for your sport. When you can do them at higher speed settings, start loading the drills with more difficult tasks such as balancing on a ball while catching, repeating the ABC’s backward while catching, etc. Such “loading” makes you focus more on the task which “imbeds” it more in your memory.
